Remembering Azrael
July 19, 1999-October 29, 2006
Azrael ("Azzie") Wobbles Barton died early in the morning of Sunday, October 29th due to acute renal failure. Azrael was a stray who came to us through our friends Sara & Joyce, and was quickly adopted by his new brother Zephyr. He was a "vegetable boy", fond of corn on the cob and peas even more than chicken or tuna. Although he was skittish and generally scared of his own shadow, he was also the champion of kitty wrestling, weighing in at over 20 pounds. He was fond of licking toes and chins, and was very content to lie in someone's arms (once he trusted them) and have his belly rubbed. Lauren & Tim were two of his few favorite people. He slept by Roberta's head and didn't mind being used as a pillow. We'll miss his wheezing in the middle of the night. He is survived by his humans, plus his feline brothers Zephyr, Caliph and Ramesh.
